Hozier

Hozier. Take Me To Church. A brief analysis of its lyrics. As a gay person, I do find this song offensive.
Because the banality that can occur in heterosexual sex is what gay people really needed to be uplifted and encouraged.
I actually can’t believe that the ‘magic” people felt about bashing (especially celebrities bashing) the Catholic church still thrives and is alive, hasn’t died away with Sinead O’Connor. I’m not supporting the Church’s views on homosexuality at all, however, the entire attitude towards the church in this song is completely without grounds, and is by an Irishman who knows not the teachings of his home church whatsoever. No proper instruction.

My Late-Night Valentine (My Sullen Valentine)

My late-night valentine

Did you know you were mine?

Are you a little lopsided?

I showed up at your door

Bearing flowers and more

Everything felt bad

I was so sad

My late-night valentine

Did you know that I wasn’t fine?

Don’t be starstruck

You’ll just wind up in the dark

My late-night valentine

Do you mind

That I’m dry and torn in two

By women unlike you?

And I sit here

Dreaming of comfort

I dreamt that love would never die

Owlie’s Trans-Atlantic Trip!

My name is Owlie, and my Omi (German for grandmother) and I left for Germany this past Monday. I am so excited about this trip; i am looking forward to meeting our family, and my German Owlie family as well. At first I was a stowaway in Omi’s suitcase because she said i couldn’t come, so Michael packed my suitcase and hid me in her suitcase, but then Omi found me and said I could come! Blessings! We are having so much fun! Hoot hoot!!!
