We’re Not Free

You know me as Michael

You call me Michael

We are in love

I am 31

You are younger than me

But at home I am not recognized

So they call me as they see fit, what they are comfortable with.

And then you call me ‘she’ and nothing or

michelle around them.

You betray me

Because we are not free.

Is my face a betrayal to you, too?

Too soft to stand up to Michael?

I fought with you about the vaccines

all because I wanted us to be free

because the creature had tainted you for me

and I felt, can’t I at least have, can’t we

be one, on this?

I Follow The Moon (Following The Moon)

I look up through my windshield

and there you are, shining through the night sky

giant cookie that you are.

I follow the moon to get the best sight of you

You do not come too soon, for night is

part of a day, and in my life

all days are nights.

Maybe I love you; I don’t know.

You’re like heaven.

You can be an arresting MOON within

my eyes.

I hold up my hand to catch you

when I finally park my car at

that secret castle in town

that no one knows about

down that long dark road

to take a little picture of you.

Good night, moon.

Owlie’s Trans-Atlantic Trip!

My name is Owlie, and my Omi (German for grandmother) and I left for Germany this past Monday. I am so excited about this trip; i am looking forward to meeting our family, and my German Owlie family as well. At first I was a stowaway in Omi’s suitcase because she said i couldn’t come, so Michael packed my suitcase and hid me in her suitcase, but then Omi found me and said I could come! Blessings! We are having so much fun! Hoot hoot!!!
